Zack Snyder releases photo of real Batmobile

Turns out Zack Snyder was just as unimpressed with the photo of the “real” Batmobile circling the web.

After much deliberation (and assumed countless emergency PR meetings), Snyder has decided to release an official photo of the “actual” Batmobile.

My oh my, is it an improvement…kind of.

Snyder may be trying to play off that the cars are different, but upon closer inspection, it’s clear they’re one in the same.

The spoiler, hood design, and side details are all identical, and while the side profile may be hidden from view in Snyder’s promo photo, it’s clear that it still curves inward rather violently around the middle.

The only difference is that unlike in the previously “leaked” photos, Snyder’s official Batmobile is menacing down to the last nut and bolt on the carbon fiber chassis.

Layer upon layer of military style pieces are surrounded by an aggressive number of weapon choices, including the turret sitting front and center.

As far as ornament hoods go, it’s certainly going to take a lot more maintenance than your average Mercedes.

Snyder’s Batmobile isn’t so much a vehicle as it is a naval ship on wheels.

It’s clear from the image that Snyder has decided to approach the prized car with a military aesthetic, unlike Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight) who used a much more fantastical design.

While it’s difficult to gauge whether or not the arc from Nolan’s infamous Batmobile will be sported on Snyder’s, it certainly looks a little squarer.

One negative quality this Batmobile certainly has to offer is the ridiculous spoiler its armed with.

It just seems superfluous at this point, situated behind the other mechanized add-ons.

Regardless, the official Batmobile is a menacing beast that I for one am still a little hesitant to see flying down the streets of…Gotham? Snyder hasn’t officially announced if Gotham will play a part in the film, but I can’t imagine any kind of Batman film that doesn’t at least include a reference to the legendary, crime filled city.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled release on March 25, 2016.
